If you have Medicare or Medicare supplemental insurance and are a patient at the Heart and Vascular Institute of Wisconsin, you may eligible for our new chronic care management program with ChronicCareIQ.
This World Heart Day is unlike any other that has come before. Public health is front and center as countries around the world are facing the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, along with the physical, emotional, and economic toll it has taken. More than a million lives have been lost to COVID-19 this year worldwide. As a comparison, an estimated 17.8 million people died from cardiovascular disease in 2017.
Heart and Vascular Institute of Wisconsin is now offering telehealth visits.
This past week we began our movement to offer patients the option of having a telehealth visit instead of a face-to-face provider visit. These “virtual visits” allow us to provide safe, effective, and convenient care through common technologies such as smart phones.
If you’re a patient of the Heart and Vascular Institute of Wisconsin, you’re eligible to sign up for our free online Patient Portal. Signing up for the Patient Portal gives patients direct access to their medications, test results, and bill payments, as well as the ability to send a direct message to their cardiologist.
This past Friday, I was able to give a presentation at the Heart of the Valley YMCA on how to prevent a heart attack. If you weren’t able to attend the event, but would still like to watch my presentation, we’ve recorded a similar talk that I gave earlier this summer at our practice. Watch the video below, and make sure you follow our Heart News page to learn more about our upcoming speaker events!
Note: Please turn the volume of the video all the way up before adjusting the volume of your computer, phone, or other device.
