Heart and Vascular Institute of Wisconsin Partners with Ascension Medical Group to Improve Local Cardiac Care

The Heart and Vascular Institute of Wisconsin has partnered with Ascension Medical Group Wisconsin to provide greater cardiac care to the Fox Valley.

Starting in September of this year, HVI physicians began seeing cardiology patients at Ascension clinics in the Fox Valley area, with plans to expand to Ascension Mercy Hospital and Oshkosh-area clinics in January 2022.

This new collaboration will help provide a full range of cardiology and electrophysiology services to Ascension patients, including minimally invasive heart procedures, advanced cardiovascular imaging, coronary and peripheral intervention, pacemakers, ablations, and more.

As independent physicians, we need strong hospital partners when patients need hospital care and strong collaboration with primary care physicians for managing chronic disease in outpatient settings,” said Dr. Carrie Chapman, physician president of HVI. “This is a win-win-win for patients, Ascension Wisconsin and HVI to broaden the scope and depth of cardiovascular services at Ascension Wisconsin sites of care. Cardiovascular disease remains the #1 cause of death in the U.S. and aging demographics create the opportunity to bring a full spectrum of services from disease prevention to acute care to patients at Ascension Wisconsin.”
